Hey, thanks for the swift reply! You might be right, a wiring issue isn't far fetched considering the heating and cooling issue. The Fiorino's been great otherwise, with the mileage at 47802 km since it's last service. I'll be sure to check with my mechanic about the wiring harness. Let's hope it isn't too rough on the wallet! Thanks again for your valuable input!
Hey, no problem at all, happy I could help! Your Fiorino's mileage is pretty low for its age so it really should be running smoothly. It's always a bummer when these problems crop up. I guess it's just the car's way of keeping us on our toes, huh? About the solar sensor you suspected earlier, I wouldn't completely rule it out either. If that's faulty, it can impact the functioning of the HVAC system, leading to the insufficient heating/cooling you mentioned. Maybe you should also have that checked, just in case. But yeah, the wiring harness was the culprit in my case. Hope the fix isn't too expensive on your end. Let's hope it's just a minor fix and your Fiorino will be back to running like a clock! Good luck! Looking forward to hearing how it goes.
Yeah, tell me about it! Cars do have a way of keeping us on our toes. Your suggestion about not ruling out the solar sensor does make sense, I feel more prepared heading into the workshop now! Thanks for the good wishes, I am keeping my fingers crossed and will definitely keep you updated on the outcome. And yeah, here's hoping it’s a minor issue, wouldn't want a hole in my pocket after all. I appreciate your help and advice! Chat soon!
Hey there! I had a similar problem with my 2007 Fiat Doblo, quite similar to your Fiorino. I'd classify myself as having some experience with cars, so thought I could sort it out myself but ended up needing a pro's help. Turned out, the wiring harness was defective. It was a bit of a hit to my pocket, cost me 155€ to get it sorted, but haven't had the same issue since. I reckon you should have a mechanic look into that. By the way, could you share more details about your vehicle? It would help me to provide more specific advice. Hope this helps!
