Hey, Thanks for jumping in so quickly – your advice has surely given me a lead to work on. My Pathfinder has clocked up about 134,964 KM till the date. The last service was a couple of months back, with no major issues addressed then though. And as far the additional symptoms go, there's just more noise round the blower area when the heating/cooling is on max. Plus, the warning light flickers more frequently when I'm on the freeway. Nothing more that I can think of as of now. Hope this helps you to better understand my situation. Cheers.

Hey, Good to see the additional information. From my experience with my Xterra (not a pro, remember just sharing my experience), sounds like your blower motor might be on its last legs, especially if it's making more noise than usual. That can also explain the inefficient heating/cooling. As for the warning light, that's a tricky one. There could be a whole slew of reasons as to why it's flickering, and it may even possibly have nothing to do with the temperature sensor. For instance, it could be something as little as a loose gas cap or as big as an engine malfunction. I'd definitely say it's worth taking the Nissan into a shop. The pros could hook it up to a diagnostic tool and give you a more clear answer on what’s going on. So far, based on your description alone, it does sound like a possibly faulty sensor could be the reason behind both blower and flickering light issues, but it's always a good thing to get these things checked out by a professional. Bottom line - listen to your gut and get it looked at. Better safe than sorry as they say. Good luck with it, and let us know how it turns out! Cheers!

Hey there, Massive thanks for sharing your experiences and thoughts, truly appreciated. You've confirmed my initial suspicions about the blower motor and the sensor – fingers crossed, it's nothing serious though. I guess I should be biting the bullet and getting it sorted at the garage straightaway, instead of waiting for a total breakdown (Touchwood!). I'll definitely follow-up here once I have the diagnosis from the shop. Till then, let’s hope the old girl holds up! Cheers!

Hey there, I've dealt with something pretty similar on my 2003 Nissan Xterra. I'd say I have some hands-on experience with cars, though I'm not a professional by any means. So, about the problem I had with my Xterra - it looked basically the same, except for that flickering light on the speedometer. Anyway, I took it to my local workshop and they figured out it was a cable or plug connection from the sensor that was defective. Cost me about 155 Euro to get it all sorted, totally worth it considering the trouble it was causing me. But hey, to give you more precise advice, I'd need to know more about your particular situation. Could you please share more details about your car? Also, any additional symptoms or recent mechanical work could be helpful to pinpoint the issue. Take care!
