Hey, thanks for sharing your experience! You know, a defective Valve servomotor was not on my radar, so that's a decent heads up. As for my engine details, it's a 3.5L V6 Gasoline engine, in case that helps with your past saga search. And just in case it's relevant, my latest service was around 82366 KM km. Entirely possible that I've missed something there, I suppose. Looking forward to your thoughts!

Hey again! Your details definitely helped. Our engines are nearly the same, mine being a VQ35HR though. The issues you've described align fairly well with what I experienced, and given that our models are similar, I'd say a defective valve servomotor could indeed be a serious contender. In my case, the mileage did seem to play a role. Started having issues around the 80,000 KM mark, just where you're at. The repair was comprehensive, they did an oil change, replaced the valve servomotor, and the engine noise was gone. The jerkiness on acceleration was eliminated too. Checked the oil again after a couple thousand kilometers, and no more metal! If your budget allows it, my advice would be to get it inspected sooner rather than later to avoid any minimal damage becoming more severe. Be prepared though, it might set you back a bit, but in my experience, it worked wonders for the car's performance and my peace of mind. Hope this helps, and good luck with your Fuga! Keep me posted on how it turns out.

Thanks again, for sharing your insights! Seems like I have a good lead now with the valve servomotor condition. Your experience around the same mileage gives me some confidence that I'm on the right track. The costs seem to be a necessary evil here to avoid any serious damage or even a full engine replacement, which I reckon would cost much more. I'll get the car to the shop earliest I can for an inspection and keep my fingers crossed that it's contained. And you bet, I'll update you on what they find and how it goes. Anyways, thanks a ton for your help, really appreciate it! Safe driving!

Hey there! Got a 2006 Nissan Skyline here that had identical symptoms to what you've described. Not a pro, but have some experience tinkering around. Took it to my trusty workshop and turns out, it was actually a defective Valve servomotor causing the mess. Phew! The damage was around 405 Euro to get it all sorted. By the way, you got specifics on the engine model? It'd help me fish out further details from my repair saga and give you a more accurate picture. Hope this helps for now!
