Seeking Advice on 2004 Mazda 6 Diesel Ignition Start Issue

Hey, thanks for the quick response! Really appreciate the advice. Yeah, leading up to this, there was some stuttering when I tried to start it and a few times, the engine light would come on and off. No specific pattern though, pretty unusual. Gonna try your suggestion and take it to my local mechanic. Hopefully, it's nothing too expensive. By the way, my Mazda's got 216879 km on it and I last serviced it about 9 months ago. Not sure if the mileage contributes to this problem, eh? Anyway, I'll keep you in the loop about what I find out. Hey again! Yeah those intermittent signs, especially the engine light coming on and off, definitely points towards possible electrical issues. The wiring harness could indeed be a suspect here.
