Hey! Really appreciate the response. Interesting that you had a similar issue with your i20. To answer your question, I haven't had any major work done on the car recently. Just been sticking to the regular servicing schedule - the most recent one was at 119963 KM. Also, no unusual events to report. She's just been doing her thing, then bam, engine light and all these other problems. Guess I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and get her checked out at a workshop as well. Cheers for your advice! Will let you know how it goes. Have a good one!
Hey! No worries, glad I could help a little. Yeah, there's not much we can do when they suddenly decide to throw a tantrum. Based on your info, it does look like a mechanical issue rather than something caused by recent work or events. I'd probably say go ahead, and get her properly checked out. You know better to be safe than sorry nowadays, particularly with the engine behavior you're experiencing. Hyundai Getz are pretty decent cars but even they have their moments. I'd also advise you to make sure they examine the whole intake manifold system to prevent any future inconveniences. Keep me posted on what happens next, I'm curious to know what the issue is. Good luck fingers crossed it's something less expensive than what I dealt with! Take it easy!
Hey! Thanks, bud. Yeah, better to be safe really, don't want to make it worse for her. Will take your advice to heart and ensure they do a thorough check on the intake manifold system. Fingers crossed it's nothing serious or as expensive as your case. Will definitely keep you in the loop. Take care, cheers!
Hey there, I had a similar issue on my 2006 Hyundai i20, so they're almost twins, huh. Just to frame it, I've got low car expertise, but I'm always keen to learn and fix things. Onto my experience, I took my car to my local workshop. They diagnosed a leaking intake manifold due to charring. It was causing similar symptoms you're describing right now. The fix wasn't cheap though, I had to shell out 1180€. Not an easy pill to swallow but it solved the issue for me, so it might for you as well. Just a question, has there been any recent work done on your car or unusual events prior to these symptoms? This might help me share more actionable tips for your case. Cheers!
