Hey there! Thanks for sharing your experience, definitely eases my worry. Seems like the pesky servomotor is to blame. Just curious, you remember roughly how much it cost you to get that little thing replaced? Also since fixing it, has anything related to the issue popped up again? Want to esti my costs and be sure there aren't any hidden surprises down the line. Oh, and Frank at the city center, yeah? Will look him up for sure. Appreciate the recommendation! Cheers!

Hey there! Yeah, no worries, happy to share. So, about the cost... it ran me up about 1040€. Not exactly pocket change, I know, but trust me, it fixed up the headache that is a funky headlight range control. Worth every penny, in my opinion. And you know what, since I took it to the mechanic, it's been smooth sailing. No more sporadic headlight issues or warning lights. So, while I'm not making any promises, it seems a servomotor replacement does the trick. It was money well spent with no hidden nasties popping up so far - fingers crossed it stays that way! And yeah, give Frank a buzz. He's a good bloke and knows his stuff. Hope it all works out for you! Cheers!

Hey, thanks for the head's up on the cost! A bit steep, sure, but on the bright side, it's good to know that the problem hasn't returned for you. Gives me some peace of mind before diving into it. I'll definitely ring up Frank - hope he can sort it all out without any glitches. Really thankful for the guidance. Keep those fingers crossed for me! Cheers!

Hey. Had a similar issue with my 2000 Nissan Teana. The culprit in my case was a faulty servomotor in the headlight assembly. The headlight part of the levelling system uses small motors to adjust beam-direction. When these motors malfunction, you might see some unusual behaviour causing sporadic malfunctioning of your headlights. Don't sweat it too much though, it's most likely not a super serious problem. Luckily, my mechanic knew his stuff and he sorted it pretty fast, just needed to replace that little bugger. Honestly, if you don't have a trustworthy mechanic that knows his/her stuff, it can be a real headache trying to figure it out and isolate the issue; you could spend ages messing around. Keep in mind, the servomotor is housed within the headlight assembly, so you may need to remove and dismantle it: this, of course, means you should get some pro to handle it. As who might give you a hand with that, I've had some decent experiences with a chap named Frank at an auto shop near the city center, called "Frank's Garage". This guy knows his Nissan cars inside out. Worth giving him a look-up, for sure. Cheers and good luck with sorting it out!
