No worries! Glad to help. Ah, the old Hyundai... They do like to keep us guessing, don't they? Now given that extra info, it's starting to sound like it could be a fuel-related issue. The throttle valve could indeed be at fault here, but another thing that could cause these symptoms is a faulty fuel injector. They could be clogged or leaking, causing that shaking at idle, and the jerking during acceleration. That would also explain your increased fuel consumption. If I were in your shoes, I'd start with a good old fuel system clean. You never know, could do wonders and it's a relatively inexpensive fix compared to replacing parts. But if the problem persists, I suggest having a mechanic check out both the throttle valve and the fuel injectors. Fingers crossed it's an easy fix! Remember, that's just from my personal experience with my Getz. As always, take it with a pinch of salt. Best of luck with your Atos! Keep us updated! Cheers!
Great advice! I didn't consider the fuel injector initially, but thinking about it, your reasoning makes sense. I'll start with the fuel system clean then if necessary, I'll proceed to get the injectors and throttle valve checked out. Here's to hoping it's nothing serious! Really appreciate your input and I wouldn't take it with a pinch of salt, every bit of advice is golden when it comes to these old Hyundai beasts! I'll definitely keep you posted on how it goes. Cheers!
Hey there! I had a similar situation with my 2004 Hyundai Getz, same gas engine. Far from an expert here, I'd say I have some car experience. Anyway, had this jerking and check engine light flashing. Turned out to be Accelerator pedal module and the electronics inside were defective. Took it to my local workshop, the guys there fixed it up real nice. Cost me 265€ for the whole thing. But I gotta say, every car's situation can be unique. Could you give some extra details, like any odd noises, changes in fuel consumption, or previous issues? That'd help me (and all of us here) to understand your issues a bit better, and I might be able to share more specific tips. Cheers!
