Hey! Good to hear from a fellow Renault owner. Ouch, 960 euro sounds rough but hey, smooth sailing is priceless, right? Thanks for the good vibes, much needed. My Arkana runs on the 1.3 TCE 140 FAP engine. She's a bit worn out with 91631 km on the clock and last checked at the 90,000 km service. Hope this info helps you guys to share more insights! Cheers.

Hey, thanks for providing more info! Your Arkana definitely has some mileage but she's not that old to have these issues. Amazed that these didn't show up at the 90,000 km service! Anyway, based on my experience with my Renault Kadjar, I'd still suggest taking a good look at the generator. It seems like your generator might be unable to provide sufficient electrical power, hence the dim lights and starting issues. That alone can prompt ABS/DSC system to act up because it heavily relies on the electrical system. The strange engine cut off might be due to unstable power supply too. I gather that it's indeed a costly affair, but it's a vital fix. After my generator was replaced, problems were completely sorted, so potentially worth the spend. Remember, safety first on the roads! Best of luck with your Renault Arkana!

Hello, can't thank you enough for sharing your experience and advice. I was also thinking about the generator but needed some reassurance. Now I feel more confident about my suspicions. At the end of the day, safety first is right. I'm scheduling a visit to my mechanic this weekend, hoping for the best. Fingers crossed the bill won't sting too much. Thanks once more, you've been a huge help. Safe travels on the roads!

It's important to address the issue through proper channels. If your vehicle has been in a crash, ensure that all repairs are conducted by a certified mechanic to guarantee safety and reliability. If you suspect electrical issues, have the wiring and connections thoroughly inspected. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!

Hey there! Sounds like quite the headache you're dealing with! I had a somewhat similar problem with my '19 Renault Kadjar a while ago. I'm no mechanic, just a regular guy with a bit of car experience. Turned out my generator was defective. My local mechanic diagnosed it and we got it replaced. It wasn't cheap, set me back about 960 euros. But once it was sorted, the lights stopped flickering, engine and ABS/DSC started behaving again, and the starting issues disappeared. By the way, could you mention your exact engine type and mileage on your Arkana, please? That info can go a long way for us to help more. Sending you good vibes for getting this sorted!
