Hi there, appreciate the quick reply and the insight! The fault codes for my Tiburon I got are U0218 and B1325. Have to say, that moody teenagers metaphor was on point, haha. My beauty has just hit 61941 KM on the dial and she's been running fine apart from this. Anyway, I'll check with my guy for the cable or plug connection issue, fingers crossed it's just that. Thanks again!
Hey again! Ah, those fault codes bring back memories, specifically a U0218 is related to lost communication with the Seat Control Module. While B1325 is generally a trigger for a malfunction in the driver's seat switch circuit, relating either to the battery or the ignition. Based on your mileage, I wouldn't rule out some wear and tear as a reason too. Shoot, it could simply be a loose connection or a dud battery causing your woes. Definitely have your mechanic check for any kind of cable or plug dysfunction, a short circuit in the control module signals can also cause seat malfunctions like yours. And you bet, those moody teenagers give us plenty of metaphors for problematic cars, don’t they? Good luck with the seat troubles, hope it gets resolved soon! Safe driving!
Thanks for the helpful breakdown! Never thought car diagnostic would remind anyone of any memories, haha. But I guess, that's what makes car enthusiasts a unique breed, eh? Anyway, I'm noting all this down to chat with my mechanic. Loose connections, short circuit, wear and tear, plus those fault codes, got it. And yeah, those moody teenagers are gold mines for metaphors! Thanks for the good vibes and the good luck, gonna need that with my beauty. Drive safe too! Cheers!
Hey there, a few years ago, I had a similar glitch with the electric seats in my '05 Hyundai Elantra, I reckon it's similar to your Tiburon. I can't claim to be an expert but I certainly know my way around cars to some extent. I took my Elantra to my local workshop, it didn't cost an arm and a leg - about 95 Euro if memory serves me right. Turns out the cause was a defective cable or plug connection related to the electric seats, making them act up like a moody teenager. Can you give more specifics on the fault codes your Tiburon is showing? That could help anyone here give you a more accurate diagnosis. Hope you get your ride up and running soon! Cheers!
