Hey, thanks for the detailed response. Just to keep you informed, my old wagon is a 2002 XC70 with 194,903 KM on the odo. Gonna visit my local garage and have them check the servomotor, as you've suggested. Fingers crossed, it's not too hectic on my pocket! Can't wait to get this sorted out. Cheers and thanks again for your insight!

No worries! Glad I could help out a bit. My S70 had pretty much the same mileage when I ran into this issue, so I'd bet it's a pretty good guess that the servomotor could be your problem. Just keep an eye on it after they sort it out - you wouldn't want to have the same issue creeping back up later on. And hey, things can get pricey with older cars, but us Volvo guys, we stick to our beasts no matter what, right?! Here's hoping it goes smoothly for you and your XC70 keeps purrin' for many more miles. Anyways, keep us posted on how it all turns out. Cheers!

Absolutely! Can't imagine parting with my old girl. Appreciate you looking out for me, and you're right about keeping a tab on it post-repair. Can't wait to hit the road again without worrying about the blower. Will most definitely keep you all posted on how things go. Cheers for all the advice and here's to many more miles in our Volvos!

Hi there! A couple years back, I had a really similar problem with my 2000 Volvo S70. I'm definitely no car guru, but tinker enough to have some experience. Took it to my local garage and it ended up being a servomotor issue. They replaced the cable and boom, everything was sorted. Set me back about 170 Euro, but was pleased with the fix. Would be helpful to know the exact model and year of your Volvo for more detailed advice. Hope this helps, good luck!
