Seeking Advice for Troubleshooting 2015 Nissan Tiida's Power Window Issue!

Power windows malfunction

Fault stored

Hey everyone, I'm having a bit of a troubleshoot with my 2015 Nissan Tiida (gasoline engine). The power windows have been acting up and I've got a fault stored. Thought it might be due to unsuccessful learning of the window regulator, but I need a second opinion. Has anyone experienced something similar or undergone a workshop fix for this issue? Could really use some advice or shared experiences on this. Cheers!

Hey there! I'm not a car expert but I've had some experience with a similar issue on my 2013 Nissan Sentra. Brought it to my go-to workshop and it ended up being a battery issue. Surprisingly enough, they replaced the whole vehicle battery and that set me back about 290 Euro, but everything was all smooth afterwards. But who knows, there could be more to it than just that. Could you share some more info on your vehicle? I'd love to dig deeper and give you a more precise hand with the issue. Cheers!

Hey, thanks for your reply! I appreciate your input. To give a bit more context, my Tiida's been running 47968 KM up until now. The latest service was just a couple of weeks ago, but the issue with the windows popped up not long after that. They weren't having any problems before the service, so this is totally out of the blue. Weird right? Would the battery problem still apply here you reckon? I've been considering taking it the workshop route too - just wanna gather a bit more info no matter what first. Thanks again!

Hey again! That's indeed quite a weird twist, running so smoothly then boom - window issues out of the blue. You need to consider a few things here - Yes, it could still be battery-related, given that electrical systems like power windows can act up when the battery is weak or faulty. And that's even if your car starts just fine. However, since you mentioned this arose right after a service, I'm pondering if it's possibly related to that, maybe something got disconnected or out of alignment during the service? It's not likely but plausible. Before you sprint to the workshop, I'd advise you to check a couple of things - the fuses and the battery voltage. Sometimes, it's a simple fuse issue that essentially fixes itself once replaced. For the battery, a voltage greater than 12.6 volts is considered good. If you're not super comfortable doing these checks, no worries, a workshop visit wouldn't hurt. Those lads know their stuff and should be able to sort you out. Keep us updated, champ!

G'day again! Wow, the more you know, huh? Who'd have thought the battery could still potentially be a cuplrit even with the car firing up with no issues? Your suggestion about the service connection has definitely given me food for thought - You don't reckon the techs messed around with the window alignment or disconnected something accidentally, I hope. I'll indeed do a few checks myself - both the fuses and battery voltage as you advised. To be honest, getting my hands a bit dirty doesn’t bother me; knowledge is power, right? A visit to the workshop is on the horizon for sure, but I greatly appreciate your input. Don’t worry, I’ll keep the updates coming. Cheers!
