Hey there! Thanks for sharing your experience, genuinely appreciated it. I have a similar vibe about my Tarraco, the incorrect coding could be behind this whole mess. So seems I'll be agonizingly watching my car steel away in the garage, huh? Well, that will be a sight. You've mentioned recoding the chip tuning and dealing with the engine control unit. Do you remember approximately how deep you had to dig into your pockets for that? And since your car was attended to, any recurrence or unexpected events after the treatment? A quick rundown of these would help a bunch to brace myself for what's ahead! Cheers!
Hey, glad to help out! Yeah, exactly like my Ateca - it was quite a sight seeing her stuck in the garage. Regarding the costs, for correcting the third-party chip tuning mistake, it did make a bit of a dent in my wallet. I remember paying close to 180 Euro. But I must say, since the mechanic worked his magic, the whole "incorrect coding" drama was sorted. No problems or unexpected dramas since then, touch wood! Just make sure you get the right mechanic to fix it and your Tarraco should be back on the road in no time, running as smooth as ever! Cheers, and best of luck with it!
Wow, 180 Euro, a bit of a hit, but surely a small price to pay if my Tarraco gets its groove back. Your experience gives me hope that there's light at the end of this tunnel. It's reassuring to know that once sorted, there won't be any reruns. Honestly, I can't wait to see my ride run smooth again. Really appreciated your advice and sharing your experience. It's been seriously helpful. Gearing up then, to face the garage, the sights of my car parked there, the sounds of tools and machines, and of course, the bill! Well, let's do this. Off to the mechanic! Cheers, and thanks again. Fingers crossed!
Hey, got a 2019 Seat Ateca, petrol though, but faced a similar issue with it not so long back. Turned out my third-party chip tuning was screwy. It was indeed an incorrect coding issue. My check engine light was being a real pain and my ride was acting all sorts of weird. It was a serious situation that needed immediate attention to prevent any further damage. Last time, they had to recode the chip tuning and reset the engine control unit, among a few other techy tweaks. The whole process was fairly technical and a bit of a stomach churner to see my car stuck in the garage, to be honest. But don't sweat it! If they catch it early and gets fixed right, it shouldn't really cause any recurrent problems. Just a word of advice, don't ignore or delay it, get to the garage as soon as possible. Best of luck with it!
