Seeking Advice for Frozen Spray Nozzles on 2021 Renault Arkana

Spray nozzles frozen

Hey folks, I'm a bit concerned about my 2021 Renault Arkana (Gasoline engine, clocked about 114847 km so far). Lately, I've been dealing with some frozen spray nozzles. I'm suspecting a defect in the nozzle heater but I'm not quite sure. Had a rough time with my last mechanic, so I'm hoping to avoid another drama. Anyone around here gone through a similar issue and can share their experience and advice? Looking forward to your input! Cheers in advance!

Hey there! I had a similar issue on my 2018 Renault Kadjar not too long ago. My nozzles were all messed up, and guess what? It was indeed the nozzle heater which caused the trouble, just as you suspected! See, what happened was, one day out of the blue, my spray nozzles refused to work in chilly weather. Quite a pickle, I must say! So I decided to take it to the garage. The mechanic did a proper check and figured the cable connection was defective. Was it a major issue? Not exactly, more annoying than serious if you get my drift. They had to fix the connection and replace a couple of stuff (nothing too dramatic, mind you). After those tweaks, the bloke had 'em working as good as new! So based on my experience, I'd recommend getting your cable system thoroughly checked. Don't overlook it, as the problem might get bigger if you just let it linger. Best of luck! Keep us posted!

Hey there! Wow, your situation with the Kadjar sounds like a close mirror to mine. Great shout about the cable connection - hadn't thought of that angle. I guess it's a trip to the garage for the Arkana then! Can you recall how hard it hit your wallet to sort out this issue? And did any related problems pop up since fixing it? Cheers for dropping your wisdom!

Hey! I'm glad my experience could provide some insight. About the cost, I remember the mechanic billed me about 95€ to sort out the cable connection issue. A tad pricey, but worth it considering the comfort of a fully functional spray nozzle in freezing weather, right? Now, as for any related issue since the fix... Absolutely none! The magic touch was given to the defective spray nozzle heater and voila, it's been running smoothly without a hitch ever since. So, take it from me, you won't regret getting that Arkana of yours checked out. And hey, let us know how it goes, okay? All the best!

Cheers for the quick response! The cost sounds a smidge steep, but like you said, having fully working nozzles in this cold weather is worth it. I'm relieved to hear you've had no follow-up issues. Your advice has definitely set my mind at ease. Off to the garage I go! Will let you all know how it shapes up. Appreciate your help!
