Hey there! I really appreciate the head's up. Based on your experience with your Scenic, sounds like this isn't a minor problem at all. I'll definitely follow suit and have a thorough diagnostic test run at my garage ASAP to catch all those nasty error codes. Cheers for your advice! By the way, can you recall how much hard-earned cash you had to part with to get your ride back on track? Also, has your car given you any more grief after the fix since then? Big thanks for your help!
Hey, no worries at all! As for the cash part, I had to cough up around 155 Euro, but hey, these wheels don't fix themselves, do they? That was principally for sorting out the defective cable and plug connection. They had corroded, causing all the chaos. And about your second question - after the mechanic worked his magic, the error on the Flex-Ray bus was put right and I haven't had a single problem since then (touch wood!). It felt like a bit of a sting to the wallet at the time, but it was definitely worth it for the peace of mind. So, nip it in the bud, the sooner, the better! Not the kind of thing you want to let drag on. Take care!
Thanks! That's a massive relief knowing it's not going to break the bank. Some peace of mind at 155 Euro is quite a steal, ain't it? I'm heading to the garage first thing in the morning. Let's hope my Renault treats me as well as your Scenic did to you post-fix. Fingers crossed, touch wood, the works, eh? Cheers again for the advice - you've really put my mind at rest. Stay safe!
Hey there! I sensed a similar issue with my 2018 Renault Scenic not too long ago. Similar symptoms - electric glitches, busted nav system, and that infamous warning light. The main culprit was a defective cable connection. I took it down to my local garage. The first thing they did was run a diagnostic test to confirm the problem. It showed a series of error codes all pointing to a malfunctioning connection. Next was to manually check each cable and plug connection in the system. Turned out there was a loose connection and some corrosion going on. They replugged everything correctly and replaced the corroded parts. Ordinarily, it wasn't a massive, car-grounding issue so you should be alright. Just a pain, right? But the sooner you get it checked, the better. These electrical faults, if left unattended, might spell bigger problems down the road. Take care!
