Thanks for the tip! I have already been to the garage and they have also read out the fault memory. Unfortunately, they couldn't really help me. The error code was P0234, which probably indicates excessive turbocharger pressure. I was then told that this could be due to a defective or dirty boost pressure regulator. My mileage is 67644 KM and the car was last serviced 4 months ago. I have a feeling the problem could be more serious than it looks. I don't know if I should just get it fixed or insist on a more thorough investigation. Thank you and best regards!

Hey, thanks for the feedback! P0234, yes, that definitely sounds like a problem with the turbocharger or boost controller. It's hard to say without having seen the car, but my first thought would be the boost controller - like on my old C5. Could well be that something is defective or dirty. It's definitely annoying, especially with the mileage and the level of maintenance - you wouldn't expect something like that. I would recommend that you insist on a more thorough inspection to make sure that everything is really found. That way you avoid having to go back to the garage after the repair because something else is broken. Maybe you could also get a second opinion, sometimes that helps. I hope you get the problem under control quickly. All the best for it! Best regards!

Thank you for your reply! Yes, I also think a more thorough examination would be best. A second opinion is definitely a good idea, I'll ask around to see if anyone knows of a good garage. Hopefully it's nothing too bad, I know how expensive car repairs can be.... Thanks again for your help, I really appreciate it! Best regards back and have a great day!

Hi, I had a very similar situation with my Citroen C5 Diesel from 2013. I'm not a car mechanic, but I know a bit about cars. I took the car to my authorized workshop. After reading out the fault codes, they found that the electric boost pressure actuator was faulty. The repair cost me 1520 euros, which made me quite angry as the part is prone to defects. But then I had it done because I didn't know whether I should wait. So it could be a similar problem with your DS5. I would suggest that you take your car to a garage and have the fault memory read out. What fault codes did you get? that might help to pinpoint the problem better. Hope that helps you. Best regards!
