Hey there! Seems like I'm not the only one dealing with car troubles these days. I also own a Tarraco and had a pretty similar issue not too long ago. Just out of curiosity, do you remember how much the garage charged you to replace the battery in your Ateca? And has anything else popped up since? Hope your ride is running smooth now! Cheers!
Hey! Good to chat with another Tarraco owner. So, yeah, to replace the faulty battery cost me about 290€ - a bit of a dent in the wallet, but worth it in the end. Since getting the battery sorted, no further issues cropped up - the undervoltage issue was totally fixed. The beast is back purring again without any problems. So, I'd say it's worth considering if you're still experiencing similar problems. All the best with your ride. Cheers!
Hey lads, thanks for all your advice, really appreciate it. Seems all signs are pointing to the battery being the rogue element. It feels like a weight lifted off my shoulders knowing that it's a common problem. Yeah, the last visit to the mechanic was indeed a nightmare. But guess I got no choice but to take my Tarraco back to the garage, hopefully, it is just the battery and not something bigger. And thank you, for sharing the costs too. Knowing upfront puts me in a better position while dealing with the mechanic; hate getting caught by surprise with inflated bills. I'll keep you fellows posted about the progress. Fingers crossed, the bugger fires back into full form soon! Cheers!
Hey there. I've got a 2020 Seat Ateca, and faced a similar situation myself. My car also showed signs of struggling while starting up, and the headlights were not as bright as they should've been. Took her to the garage and the mechanic spotted the issue straight away - turned out the battery was the main culprit. It was not at the end of its life per se, but the cold weather and frequent short trips took a toll on it. They had to replace the battery and after that, my Ateca was back to working in its full glory. Even though the experience wasn't a breeze, I'd suggest you get your Tarraco checked out. And don't worry about it being a serious issue, it is quite common with cars running on older or worn-out batteries. Alternatively, you could also use a multimeter to check the voltage across the battery terminals yourself, ensuring all is fine with the battery. Remember, it's always better to deal with these issues sooner than later. Cheers!
