Hiya, Firstly, thanks for the advice. It sounds like our issues were pretty identical. It's a bit of a comfort to know that it's not anything seriously bad. I'll make sure to get my Tarraco into a reliable garage, hopefully, they'll be as quick to sort out stuff as your guys were. By chance, do you remember the damage to your wallet after a trip to the mechanic's? And have you stumbled upon any new issues with your Seat Leon since that fix? Thanks in advance, champ! Cheers!
Hey champ, Glad to know my advice helped. Yep, these car problems are more annoying than serious most of the time. As for your questions, I paid around 90 Euro at the mechanic to fix the issue related to the battery disconnection. I'd say that's a fair price to get rid of that blinking light, right? And about your second question, since getting that system readiness check done, my 2015 Seat Leon has been humming along nicely. No new lights, no new problems. It just goes to show, finding the right mechanic really makes all the difference. Hope your experience with your Tarraco is just as smooth and hassle-free! Cheers!
Thanks for the fast response! And 90 Euro doesn't sound too bad for some peace of mind. Guess it's all about finding the right folks to trust with your ride. Here's hoping my Tarraco and I get as lucky as you and your Leon did. Thanks again for all your advice. I feel a whole lot better heading back to the garage thanks to you. Cheers and keep in touch, amigo!
Hey there, Sounds familiar. I had something very similar happening with my 2015 Seat Leon. The same wonky warning light showing up after I disconnected my battery for a regular maintenance check. Turns out, the car's system was just trying to run a system readiness check, like you said. Guess it's kind of its way of going "Hang on, everything was just unplugged for a bit. Gotta make sure we're all good here." The issue wasn't a serious one, just a bit of a nuisance until it was sorted out. Took it down to my local garage, the boys are experts in these sorts of things. They had to run a complete diagnostic and, as it turns out, it required resetting the system and relearning the idle. As I recall, they also checked related components like fuses and wiring, just to be on the safe side. After that, the light stopped blinking and all was well. So, not much to worry about. But, I do reckon you should take your car in to a trusted mechanic - a decent one this time - and have them take a look. Best of luck! Cheers!
