Seeking Advice for 2021 Renault Arkana Hybrid: Electrical Issue, Park Distance Control Trouble, and Warning Light Faults

Warning light in the speedometer of the vehicle

Park distance control without function

General electric malfunction

Fault stored

Hey folks, I'm dealing with a funky issue on my 2021 Renault Arkana Hybrid. The park distance control's out of whack, there's an overall electric flaw, and I've found faults stored with a warning light on the speedometer. I'm guessing the parking aid has some functional limitation causing this mess. Any of you had a similar problem? How did you get it sorted and what was your workshop experience? Any tips or insights would be ace, cheers!

Hey there, sounds like a real pickle! I had a similar squabble with my 2019 Renault Kadjar a while back, so we're almost in the same boat. I'd rank my car know-how as some experience, so not quite a mechanic, but I've had my share of oil-stained jeans. To cut a long story short, after I dodged a few dodgy workshops, I found a reliable bloke who pegged the issue as a defective cable connection. Didn't burn a bigger hole in the pocket than 170 euro. Reckon you might be having the same issue with your Arkana. Out of curiosity, have you noticed if the warning light blinks or stays on? Knowing your car's mileage could also help provide a bigger picture. Hang in there!

Heya! Cheers for the quick reply and the reassurance. It's been a wild ride with the Arkana so far! I can tell you that the warning light stays on rather than blinks, which had me puzzled. Sitting at 134099 km on the odometer, or since the latest service, depending on how you'd like to see it. I've got similar vibes about the cable connection too - got to get it checked without draining my wallet though. Your experience sparks hope it might be a common issue and can be fixed. Appreciate it!

Hey! No worries at all, always glad to help out and share whatever nuggets of 'wisdom' I've picked up from my Kadjar capers. The fact that the warning light stays on adds another corner to this jigsaw. Been down that road with my Kadjar at nearly the same mileage, give or take a few thousand kilometers. And again, might not be exactly the same but sounds eerily close. With mine, it ended up being the junction box failure if you can believe it. It didn't spring any surprises cost-wise – was pretty manageable. Heads-up, the Arkana Hybrid has a slightly more complex electrical system than the Kadjar thanks to the whole hybrid setup, so you might need to brace yourself for a bigger drain on your cash stash...not to bum you out or anything. Anyway, best of luck sorting it out and let's hope your Arkana just needs a bit of TLC, not a whole lot more! Be sure to let us know how you get on. Cheers!

Hey! Good on ya for throwing a lifeline my way. That ‘wisdom’ of yours is pretty much on the money - I wasn’t even considering the junction box until now, so bingo. The hybrid complexities you mentioned got me a bit fussed up, I’ll be honest, but I reckon I’ll have to crack on. A bit of TLC never hurt anyone, eh? I’ll keep you posted on how things pan out. Appreciate the support. Stay cool, cheers!
