Hey, thanks for the quick reply and sharing your experience, that's super helpful! So, I started noticing these issues around three weeks back. I drive my car daily, mostly for city commute but weekend trips do happen quite occasionally - say once or twice in a month. And yeah, longer cranks while starting became more evident recently. Just to clarify on the mileage bit, my Hyundai Nexo's already clocked 87262 KM on the odometer. The last service was done just before these issues started popping up, around a month ago. Would love to hear any further advice you might have! Thanks again!
Hey! No problem! I’m always here to help a fellow Hyundai Owner. Definitely, the symptoms you've mentioned like weak battery, dim and flickering lights, and longer cranks are common signs of a potential battery problem. Given that your Nexo has over 87,000 KM mileage and you're using it quite frequently, it's possible that your battery life has come to an end. If your battery hasn’t been replaced since your vehicle was new, I'd personally suggest getting it tested at a local Hyundai service center. As batteries tend to live around 3-5 years depending on usage, your battery might just need a replacement. Also, if the alternator isn't working properly, it wouldn't properly charge the battery which could also be a reason you're facing these issues. So you might want to get that checked as well. One last thing, make sure to check all your connections and cables for any corrosion or loose contact. These can often go unnoticed but can cause similar issues. Remember, it’s better to get it fixed as soon as possible to prevent being stranded. Hope this helps! Looking forward to hearing updates. Take care!
Hey, thanks a ton! Your suggestions sound practical and honestly, have given me relief knowing I have some direction to work on. You’re right... I've been using the car well and it’s about time the battery might need a replacement. I totally overlooked the alternator part, so I’ll get that checked too along with the connections and cables. I’ll get these things sorted at a Hyundai service centre asap. No point in risking being stranded in the middle of nowhere, right?! Appreciate your help a lot! I'll update you after my visit to the service center. Take care and cheers!
Hey there, Hope you're doing well. I also own a 2021 Hyundai Nexo, which had a similar issue a while back. Just to give you an idea about my experience, I consider myself someone with some experience in dealing with car repairs. When I faced the same issue with my car, I had taken it to my workshop. After some diagnosis, we found out the issue was indeed with the battery, it was defective. So, they replaced the battery, which cost me about 290 Euro. You might want to check out the main battery and also the alternator in your Nexo. Could you provide me some more info on your vehicle? Like, when did you start noticing these issues? How often do you use your car? Do you drive more in the city or on highways? Do you confront long cranking when trying to start your vehicle? This additional info might help me give you better and more specific advice. Cheers!
