Seat Terraco problems with the navigation system screen

Navigationssystem is not working

Hi everyone, I have a problem with my Seat Tarraco Diesel, model year 2019. The navigation system suddenly stopped working. I suspect that it could be a screen failure of the navigation system. Have any of you had similar experiences and can give me tips on how this was fixed? How did the repair go at your garage and were there any special tips or advice? Thank you!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my Seat Ateca, built in 2017. My navigation system suddenly stopped displaying anything. I have some experience with cars, so I went to my trusted garage. In my case, the cable connection between the control unit and the display was defective (poor connection). The repair cost 165 euros. They checked the cable and replaced it, after which everything worked perfectly again. Have you already checked whether all the cables are correctly seated? If not, I would advise you to have the navigation system checked in a workshop. Is your display completely without function or are there still any reactions? Greetings!

Hi, thanks for your tip! I will have the cable connections checked. My display is completely black and no longer responds at all. I had my last service recently at 218765 km. Maybe the garage will find the same fault as yours. Let's see what they come up with. Greetings!

Hi, I can definitely relate to this. I had a similar problem with my 2019 Seat Tarraco. The display suddenly went completely black and nothing happened at all. In my case, it was due to a faulty control unit. This was then replaced at my trusted garage, but this turned out to be a bit more expensive - the repair cost me around 450 euros. In addition to the cables, they also checked whether a software update might be necessary, as sometimes software errors can cause such problems. The technician said that such things can happen from time to time with electronics and that it is not unusual for similar problems to occur with similar models. If your display is really not responding at all, it could really be something more serious like mine. Keep your fingers crossed that it's just a minor issue like a loose cable! Let us know what the workshop finds. Greetings!

Hi, thanks for the info! That will definitely help me. I really hope that it's just a minor issue and doesn't mean that the control unit is faulty - 450 euros is a lot of money. I'll ask the garage if they can also check the software. I'll keep you posted on what comes out of the check. Greetings!

Hi Popal, the SOS light usually indicates a malfunction in the emergency call system. However, it could also be related to your infotainment system issue. I would recommend starting with a simple system reset. You can do this by disconnecting the battery for about 15 minutes and then reconnecting it. If the problem persists, it's best to have it checked by a professional mechanic as it could be a software or hardware issue. Please keep us updated on your progress.
