Hey, sure, I can still remember it well. The malfunction of the transmission control unit was fixed in my Ateca, and since then everything has been running smoothly again. The repair cost me €1000 at the time, which wasn't cheap, but it was definitely worth it. Since then there have been no further problems with the gearbox. LG

Hey, thanks for the info! That really helps me. I'll probably have to go back to the workshop and hope that it works better this time. 1000€ is not exactly cheap, but if everything works smoothly again afterwards, it's probably worth it. I'll keep you posted on how it goes. LG and thanks again!

Hey, yeah, that sounds a lot like problems with the transmission control unit. I had a similar problem with my 2017 Seat Ateca. The symptoms were pretty much identical: erratic shifting, slipping and also those annoying grinding noises. When I went to the garage, they replaced the transmission control unit. That was definitely a serious matter. The whole procedure took some time because they had to order the part first and then do the installation. After that, everything worked perfectly again. If you are sure that this is the problem, I would advise you to have it repaired as soon as possible. The symptoms strongly suggest that the transmission control unit is faulty. Greetings
