Seat Tarraco Hybrid 2022: Troubles with Battery Life and Unreliable Lighting

Weak battery when starting the engine

Fault stored

General electric malfunction

Dim or flickering lights

Hey folks, I'm facing some pesky issues with my 2022 Seat Tarraco Hybrid with a mileage of 138,522 KM. She's showing broad electric issues, storing faults and gives me weak battery vibes on start-up. It's lighting that's killing me, they're undependable and sometimes dimming. Been mulling over if this has got anything to do with the Terminal 30 problem. Had quite a rotten experience with my last mechanic visit, so I'd rather have some insights before diving into another one. Anyone in the forum experience similar trouble? Would love to know your thoughts and mechanic experiences. Thanks in advance, good people!

Hey there, Sorry to hear about the trouble you're having with your Tarraco Hybrid. Can definitely understand your concerns, electrical issues can be a headache. I've got a '19 Seat Leon ST and faced something very similar last year - intermittent lights, weak start-up, all the classic signs of a drained battery. Funny thing was the battery wasn't old, so I was a bit stumped at first. Turns out, it was a combo of a battery defect and a minor fault in the charging system (no Terminal 30 glitch). It was perplexing, for sure, but I got a mechanic to replace the faulty battery and correct the charging system fault and since then, it's been working like a charm, fingers crossed. It wasn’t a serious issue, just a bit of a bug. It might not be the exact same thing with your car, but it sounds very similar. Anyway, hope it gets better soon and highly recommend not ignoring these signs. Cheers!

Hey, your tale of electric woes sounds strikingly similar to my own last year. My Seat Tarraco Hybrid had the same erratic lighting issue, which was coupled with an inconsistent start-up. I can definitely empathize with how frustrating it can be! Now, I'm no car guru, but in my case, the culprit was a faulty Terminal 30 relay, which was suckin' the life out of my battery. So, your hunch could very well be spot on. Hey, you brought up a good point about the charging system as well. When you got your battery replaced and the system fixed, do you remember how much it set you back? Also, any other gremlins surface since you got it done? Fingers crossed for you,! Keep us posted. Cheers!

Hey, Ah yes, the horror stories we car-owners weave! As I mentioned earlier, mine was a defective battery paired with some problems in the charging system but no Terminal 30 mischief thankfully. Regarding the cost of the work done, you bet, I can never forget how pocket-heavy I felt afterwards! It cost me about 290€ to say adios to the faulty battery and get that pesky charging system fixed up. Pricey, but well worth it considering the smooth riding I’ve had since. Knock on wood, no more nasty surprises so far! So,, don't give up that easy. Your trusty Tarraco can still give you those pleasant rides back and forth again after a little TLC from a pro mechanic. Stay positive! Cheers,.

Hey and, Appreciate your insights on this! Sounds like these Seat Hybrids are a bit notorious for such issues. : Boy, that wasn’t a small cheque for sure, but glad it fixed the problem for you. Gives me hope that I’d be back on the road without this headache soon. : That Terminal 30 issue you mentioned might just be my villain too. It's incredible how these little parts can cause such huge problems, eh? Looks like it's time I find a trustworthy mechanic around so my Tarraco gets its groove back. Thank you for sharing your experiences, and I'll sure be bringing these points up when I stop in at the mechanic's. Will keep you guys posted. Thanks a ton and keep the rubber down, folks! Cheers till then,.
