Hey, I'm glad I could help you! In my case, the fuel filler flap position sensor was actually the problem. However, since I've been to the mechanic, the fault has not recurred. So the good news is that fixing the problem has permanently eliminated the fault. As for the costs: I had to dig deep into my pockets to fix the faulty control unit. It cost me around €1000. Who would have thought that such a small thing could be so expensive! But don't worry, everything is running smoothly now, sometimes you just have to invest. Hopefully this will solve your problem too! Good luck again!

Hey, thank you! Really, €1000 is a bit much. But as you say, sometimes you just have to invest. Well then, I hope that it might work out a bit cheaper for me. But it's good to know that it didn't happen again after the repair, that reassures me a little. I'll take my Ibiza to the garage later and hope that they find the problem quickly and solve it. And hopefully without me having to sacrifice all my savings. Thanks again for your help and advice! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my favorite car will soon be running smoothly again. See you then!

Hey, I drive a Seat Leon from 2015 and recently had a similar problem. The check engine light came on in my car and an error was also stored in the on-board computer. The fault was identified as a problem with the exhaust gas recirculation position sensor. I had to take my car to the workshop and they replaced the sensor. It was a serious fault and took me a few days to get the car back on the road. Don't worry, it can happen. Hope that helps you a bit. Good luck!
