Hey, thanks for your reply and the support! Good to know that you had similar problems with your Seat and that the sensor was the culprit. I think I'll have a mechanic who is familiar with the issue look at it too. Can you remember how much the repair cost you in total? And have there been any other problems since the repair or has everything worked perfectly? I hope everything goes smoothly for me too! Thanks again!

Hey, no problem! After the visit to the mechanic, the low-pressure fuel system sensor was actually replaced and since then everything has been running fine with my Seat. As for the cost, I had to pay €222 because the plug was faulty. It wasn't exactly cheap, but I haven't had any further problems since it was fixed. Hopefully it will go as smoothly for you. Good luck!

Hey, thanks for the reply! It's a little more than I was expecting, but it sounds like it will definitely be worth the money if my car runs like it should afterward. Your experience really helps me to better understand what to expect from the mechanic. I'll have the car checked at the garage tomorrow morning and hopefully everything will go as smoothly as it did for you. Thanks again for the help!

Hey, I actually had a similar problem with my 2011 Seat Ibiza. Mine also had problems with acceleration, black smoke, increased fuel consumption, the whole shebang. My car kept switching off on its own, which was really annoying. I finally checked the low-pressure fuel system sensor and found that it actually had the problem. The mechanic had to replace the faulty sensor and clean the fuel system thoroughly. After that, it ran like clockwork again. It wasn't a small problem, but it made driving a lot safer. I would definitely recommend having it checked and repaired by a professional, even if the last workshop visit wasn't that great. Think the best thing is to be honest and direct with the mechanic and explain the symptoms so he knows exactly what to do. Good luck!
