Hey, thanks for your reply and the info! That really sounds like a serious problem and I'm not going to take it lightly. Can I ask how much you paid to clean and replace the DPF back then? Was there anything else after the repair? Many thanks and best regards!

Hey, I had to dig pretty deep into my pocket to repair my diesel particulate filter. In my case, it was a total of €1550 to replace the DPF because it was simply blown due to the high mileage. Since then, however, the car has been running like clockwork again and the engine warning light has also stayed off. So, if you have similar symptoms, I would advise you to go to a mechanic as soon as possible before anything else breaks. That was the solution for me and I haven't regretted it. Best wishes and good luck!

Hey, the fact that it was so expensive for you really makes me think. But good to hear that your car ran perfectly again afterwards. I'll definitely be going to the mechanic soon to have it checked. Better to act now than have more trouble and expense later. Thanks again for the detailed information and tips! Best regards!

Hey, I had similar problems with my 2016 Seat Leon. I can tell you that unfortunately this can be a serious problem. I also had black smoke when accelerating, the engine warning light came on and I lost power. At the mechanic's, it turned out that the diesel particulate filter (DPF) was heavily loaded and almost blocked. The DPF system could no longer regenerate properly, which led to the symptoms you described. In my case, the DPF had to be cleaned and eventually replaced, as the exhaust pressure sensor was also impaired and also had to be replaced. It is important to see a mechanic as soon as possible before further damage to the engine occurs. Good luck!
