Hey, thanks for your quick response! By the way, my Alhambra is a diesel and now has 85,000 km on the clock and the last service was only recently carried out. Do you think it could be the crankshaft sensor? What do you think, should I go to the garage and have it checked?

Hey, you should definitely go to the workshop. In my experience, these symptoms definitely indicate a malfunction of the crankshaft sensor. After inspection, it turned out that it was actually the sensor - it was defective. However, the costs were higher for me, around 200 euros. The workshop explained to me that the crankshaft sensor plays an important role in engine operation. Don't wait, the situation can get worse and end up costing more. Good luck with it!

Hi, thanks for the great advice! It's always helpful to hear experiences from others who have had similar problems. I will take my car to the garage as soon as possible. Hopefully it's nothing serious and I get away with similar costs to you guys. Thanks again for your support, I'll keep you posted!

Servus, I know the problem, I've been through it myself. I also used an oscilloscope to check whether the sensor was still supplying a signal, but it was possible to determine that the sensor was defective. I then thought to myself, I can get to the sensor and replace it myself, so I ordered a sensor and installed it. The engine then ran perfectly again, but only for 2-3 weeks. It then turned out that the sensor I had installed (not an original spare part) was defective again. I then ordered a new sensor directly from the manufacturer and since then I have had no more problems.

Hey, Yes, I've often heard that only original cam and crankshaft sensors should be fitted as the sensors from the accessories often cause problems.

Hello VagFan I have a similar problem with my BMW. Does the original sensor only apply to the Vag group or should I also make sure that I only buy an original sensor for my BMW? There's a big difference in price. I would like to save a few euros. Thanks in advance

Your Ford Transit's symptoms could be due to a variety of issues, such as a faulty fuel pump, clogged fuel filter, or a problem with the engine control unit (ECU). However, the preheat indicator flashing might suggest an issue with the glow plugs or the glow plug control module. I recommend starting with a diagnostic scan to read any fault codes stored in the ECU. This could help narrow down the problem. Please update us on your progress.

Hello, I had a similar problem with my 2013 Seat Leon, but I have to admit that I have little experience with cars. I took the car to the garage and the mechanic there found that the crankshaft sensor plug was faulty. The repair cost me 170 euros. Lg
