RS7 Blower Motor Dead: Control Panel Powers, Fan Silent
Blower does not work properly

Last service completed at 103223 KM. The AUC sensor actually turned out to be fine in my case. A workshop diagnostic revealed the blower motor control module had failed completely, not just the wiring as initially suspected. The auto recirculation and air conditioning sensor systems were functioning normally, but without the control module working, the blower remained inactive. After replacing the module for 430 Euro, all climate functions were restored. The air quality sensor readings are now showing normal values again. If anyone else faces this issue, make sure the workshop checks the control module before replacing the entire blower assembly.
Thanks for sharing those details about your repair experience. The blower control module failure matches what a few other RS owners have reported in similar cases. While my wiring harness issue was cheaper to fix, the control module is often the culprit with these symptoms in our cars. Since fixing my wiring connection, I had zero climate control issues for about 2 years now. The auto recirculation works perfectly, and all cabin air sensor readings remain stable. The BMW AUC system in these models is actually quite reliable, its usually other components in the HVAC system that cause problems. Good point about getting proper diagnostics first. At 430 Euro for the module replacement, its still better than unnecessarily replacing the full blower assembly which can cost triple that amount. The air quality sensor system working correctly was also a helpful indicator that narrowed down the problem. Does your climate control now maintain the set temperature consistently? Some owners reported having to recalibrate their systems after module replacement for optimal performance.
Thanks for checking back regarding my RS7. My transmission is the 8-speed automatic. The climate control had been working flawlessly until this sudden failure, no warning signs or unusual noises beforehand. I did notice the blower would occasionally take a few seconds to respond to speed changes in the weeks before the complete failure, but I dismissed it at the time. The diagnostic process was interesting because they initially suspected the AUC sensor or wiring like in your case. Once they tested the odor sensor and climate control connections though, attention turned to the control module. Your wiring repair was definitely the better scenario cost-wise. The 430 Euro module replacement hurt the wallet more than expected. The good news is everything works perfectly now after the fix. No recalibration was needed, the auto recirculation and temperature control restored to normal operation as soon as the new module was installed. For what its worth, those brief response delays I mentioned earlier are completely gone too. The sensor fault codes cleared and havent returned in over a month of daily driving.
As someone with some mechanical experience, I dealt with a similar climate control issue on my 2015 RS6. The symptoms were nearly identical, climate control panel was powered but the blower motor was completely unresponsive, regardless of settings. After taking it to the workshop, they found the root cause was a damaged wire harness connection to the blower motor. The air conditioning sensor system and auto recirculation were actually working fine, but the faulty connection prevented any power from reaching the blower. The AUC sensor readings were normal when they ran diagnostics. The repair involved fixing the connection and checking the entire wiring path to ensure no other issues. Total cost was 95 Euro including diagnostic time and repair work. Much better than replacing the entire blower unit, which they initially suspected might be necessary. What transmission does your RS7 have? Also, has the climate control system shown any intermittent issues before completely failing? These details would help determine if your issue matches what I experienced. Some sensor faults can cause similar symptoms but require different solutions. Have you noticed any unusual sounds from the blower area before it stopped working? This could help narrow down whether its an electrical connection issue or a mechanical problem with the blower itself.
