Thanks for sharing your experience with the Swift transmission issues. Really helpful to know about the oil line leak causing similar symptoms. Your case sounds exactly like what Im dealing with on my Baleno. Did you remember roughly what the total repair cost was for fixing the sensor and doing the transmission fluid flush? Also curious if youve had any transmission problems since getting it fixed? Just trying to budget for potential repairs and figure out if this could be a long-term solution. The transmission fault codes and limp mode are definitely concerning but hoping its just the oil level or sensor like in your case.

Wanted to follow up on the repair costs since you asked. The total came to 365€ which covered fixing both the transmission oil pressure sensor fault and correcting the low gearbox oil level. After the repair, the transmission has been shifting smoothly with no warning lights or limp mode issues. The mechanic confirmed the oil pressure sensor was malfunctioning and replaced it along with doing a complete fluid flush. They also checked all transmission lines carefully for potential leaks. The fluid pressure gauge readings are now showing normal values during operation. Its been about 8 months since the repair and no transmission problems have returned. Regular pressure sensor readings and fluid level checks show everything is working as it should. Based on my experience, addressing these issues promptly helped prevent more serious transmission damage. If your symptoms match what I experienced, getting the oil level and pressure sensor checked should identify if youre dealing with the same root cause. The repair cost was worth it considering the alternative of potential transmission failure.

I finally decided to take my Baleno to a different mechanic after reading about your experience. They found the exact same problem, low transmission oil level and a faulty pressure sensor causing the rough shifting and limp mode. The transmission sensor was giving false readings due to the low oil level. The repair bill came to 390€ total, which included: New transmission oil pressure sensor, Complete transmission fluid flush, Pressure gauge testing, Oil level check and top-up Got it back yesterday and the transmission is shifting perfectly now. No more grinding or warning lights. The mechanic showed me the old sensor was completely shot and the oil level was dangerously low. Really glad I got it fixed before any major transmission issues developed. Thanks again for sharing your Swift story, it gave me the confidence to get this sorted properly instead of continuing to drive with the problem. Will definitely keep an eye on the transmission oil level from now on during regular maintenance.

Had very similar symptoms on my 2014 Suzuki Swift with the 1.4L gas engine. The transmission sensor fault triggered limp mode after rough shifting started. Initial diagnosis showed the transmission oil level was critically low, causing inadequate pressure and triggering the sensor warnings. The root cause was a slow leak from a damaged transmission oil line that went unnoticed for months. The low oil level caused excessive wear on internal components and metal debris contaminated the remaining fluid. Required a complete transmission fluid flush, replacement of the oil pressure sensor, and repair of the leaking line. This is typically a serious issue that needs immediate attention since low oil pressure can cause severe transmission damage if ignored. The pressure switch and sensor system are designed to protect the transmission by limiting operation when unsafe conditions are detected. Key things to check: Transmission fluid level and condition, Oil pressure sensor electrical connections, Signs of leaks around transmission lines, Metal particles in fluid indicating internal wear Would strongly recommend getting it properly diagnosed soon, as continuing to drive with these symptoms risks much more extensive transmission damage. The sensor warnings are likely pointing to a real underlying issue rather than just a sensor fault.
