Thanks for sharing that info about the injector replacement. Your symptoms sound identical to what I experienced. The performance tuning technician also found similar drift compensation and airflow sensor irregularities in my case. Did you track any improvement in fuel economy after the repair? My mechanic quoted quite a bit for the full injector set replacement but I am wondering if it was worth it in the long run. Also curious if you had any other issues pop up since having it fixed? Been a bit nervous about potential related problems developing.

My Transporter has been running perfectly since getting the injector work done. The Reset quantity drift compensation fix immediately solved the rough running. Including parts and labor, the total came to 515€ for replacing the defective injection valve. The fuel economy improvement was significant, about 15% better consumption once the new injector was properly calibrated. The car sensors now show normal readings, and the engine management system maintains stable drift compensation values. No additional issues have come up in the months since the repair. The fuel injection system works as designed now, with smooth power delivery and proper throttle response. While the cost seemed high initially, the improved performance and efficiency made it worthwhile. Would recommend getting it done soon since faulty injectors can cause accelerated wear on other engine components. The symptoms you describe match exactly what mine showed before the fix.

I decided to get it fixed and do not regret making that call. The shop found multiple failed injectors causing the compensation adjustment errors. The fuel injection system needed a full service, including cleaning and calibration after the new parts went in. The system reset and compensation adjustment brought everything back to factory specs. My fuel economy improved around 20% after the repair, which helps offset the 890€ repair cost. The engine now runs smooth, especially at idle, and the check engine light stays off. Performance tuning shows normal readings across all parameters now. The throttle response is crisp again and cold starts are much better. No odd noises or vibrations either. Looking back, I should have addressed it sooner before the rough running got worse. The diagnostic data matched what you experienced, drift values were way outside normal range and multiple sensors showed fuel delivery problems. Getting the complete injection system repair was definitely the right choice rather than trying partial fixes.

I had similar symptoms with a 2015 VW Transporter TDI. The rough running and engine codes pointed to fuel injection problems, which turned out to be more serious than initially suspected. The drift compensation values were way off, indicating the injectors were not delivering fuel correctly. After running diagnostics, the system reset procedure showed multiple injector faults. Car sensors were picking up irregular fuel delivery patterns, causing the engine management system to constantly adjust. The fix required complete injector replacement since cleaning did not resolve the issue. The fuel injection system is critical for diesel engines, and worn injectors can cause significant performance loss and potential engine damage if left unchecked. Key indicators that helped diagnose: Rough idle especially when cold, Poor throttle response, Increased fuel consumption, Multiple related fault codes, Failed drift compensation tests Would strongly recommend getting the injectors properly tested. The engine light and performance issues match classic symptoms of injector failure. This is not something to postpone, as bad injectors can lead to more extensive engine damage.
