Rear window heating defective on 2007 Ford Freestar: experience and tips wanted

I ended up having to go to the garage to replace the rear window because the heating wires are embedded directly in the window. Hey, no problem, always happy to help! If I remember correctly, the whole thing cost me €585 because the heating wires were defective. It's a hefty price, of course, but the result was worth it. And since the trip to the mechanic, the functional restriction of the rear window heating was eliminated, so nothing to worry about. So far, I haven't had any other problems with the Ford Explorer that could be related to the rear window heater. Simply a robust car! So I hope you have a similar experience!
