Hey, thanks for sharing your experience! That's really helpful as I'm currently dealing with the same symptoms on my Range Rover. Been holding off getting it fixed because I wasn't sure what to expect. By the way, do you remember roughly how much you ended up paying for the repair? Also, has everything stayed working properly since then, or have you noticed any other suspension-related issues popping up?
Hey again! Happy to give you an update! Since my last reply, I got it fixed and it cost me exactly 155 Euro to repair the faulty cable connection on the height sensor. Honestly, it was worth every penny, the car's running like a dream now! The limitation warning for the height sensor that was popping up has completely disappeared. You know what's funny? I was also really nervous about getting it fixed after some not-so-great experiences with mechanics, but this repair turned out to be pretty straightforward. The suspension's working perfectly now, no more bouncing, no more uneven ride height, just smooth sailing all the way. And to answer your question about any new issues, nope, not a single suspension-related problem since the repair. It's been rock solid. The air suspension system is working exactly as it should, just like when the car was new. Trust me, don't put it off like I initially did. Once you get it sorted, you'll wonder why you waited so long! Hope this helps! Let me know if you need any other info!
Thanks so much for all that detail! Really glad I asked here first. You've convinced me to bite the bullet and get it fixed, and knowing it cost you around 155 Euro makes me feel much better about the whole thing. I was imagining it would cost way more! Just got back from the mechanic actually. You were right about it being a straightforward fix. My issue was similar, faulty sensor wiring that needed replacing. The mechanic spotted it right away and got it sorted within a few hours. The car feels completely different now, in a good way! No more weird bouncing or that annoying uneven stance. Funny how we both put off getting it fixed because of previous bad experiences with mechanics. Really appreciate you sharing your story, helped me make the right decision instead of letting the problem get worse. Thanks again for all your help!
Hey there! I faced a similar issue with my 2011 Range Rover Sport TDV8. The symptoms you're describing match what I experienced. When I took it to the garage, they found that the height sensor cable connection was indeed faulty. The wiring had corroded and was sending incorrect signals to the suspension control unit. In my case, they had to replace the height sensor and its wiring harness. It wasn't a major repair in terms of complexity, but it's crucial for the air suspension system to work properly. The mechanic also checked the air struts while they were at it, just to be thorough. It's been running smoothly since then, no more bouncing or uneven ride height. Just make sure whoever works on it has experience with Range Rover air suspension systems, as they can be a bit tricky to diagnose correctly. Best of luck!
