Thanks for sharing! Mine's at 61295 KM and had its last service two months ago. Actually, before the system died completely, I noticed the screen would occasionally freeze and reboot itself, especially when switching between nav and radio. No warning lights or anything though. Do you reckon it could be the same cable issue you had? I'm hoping it's that simple and not something more serious with the main unit itself.
Hey again! Yeah, those symptoms you're describing the freezing and unusual reboots sound really similar to what I experienced with my QX30. Before finding out it was just a loose connection, I was also worried it might be something major. In my case, the freezing started happening more frequently when going over bumps, which was actually a good clue that it was connection-related. Have you noticed anything like that? If it started after your last service, it's possible something got knocked loose during the work. My advice would be to get it checked out sooner rather than later if it is just a cable like mine was, it's a pretty quick and relatively cheap fix. The longer you wait, the more annoying it gets driving without nav and audio! Plus, if it is something more serious (though I doubt it), better to catch it early. Let me know how it goes I'm curious if it turns out to be the same issue. These Infiniti infotainment systems are generally pretty reliable, so I'd be surprised if it's anything major.
Thanks so much for the detailed response! You know what, now that you mention it, I have noticed the system acting up more when I hit rough patches on the road. That's actually really reassuring to hear it might just be a loose connection. I'll definitely get it checked out this week there's a workshop near me that specializes in Infiniti repairs. I've already booked an appointment for Thursday morning. You're right about not waiting driving without music is driving me crazy, and I've been relying way too much on my phone for navigation lately. Will definitely update you once I know what's going on. Really appreciate your help and sharing your experience it's made me feel a lot better about the whole situation!
Hey there! I had a similar issue with my 2017 Infiniti QX30 diesel (I have some experience working on cars). Turned out it was just a loose cable connection behind the head unit. Took it to my regular workshop last month, and they sorted it out in about an hour. Cost me 155€ for the diagnostic and fix pretty straightforward job. What's your exact model spec and did you notice any warning signs before it went completely dead? Might help pinpoint if it's the same issue I had.
