Sure, thanks for your answer! The thing is that my car already has 179651 km on the odometer and reading the error memory only ever shows this one error: Windshield wiper. So the warning light is actually triggered by this fault. The last service was recently, but I only suspected the relay after that. I hope this helps you a bit, unfortunately I don't have any more information. Your repair costs sound hefty though... I would have expected it to be a bit cheaper. But I want my Benz to run again, so I guess I'll have to put up with it. Thanks for your help!

Your additional information is great, thank you! Yes, fixed car costs are never pleasant, but when you consider that safety is the most important thing, it's easier. With the mileage of your Benz, it's normal for some parts to need replacing, especially if they are as stressed as the wipers. The relay acts as a switch in the electrical system. If it fails, it can lead to various problems, including wipers jerking or not working. It sounds a lot like that, but of course I can't say 100% from a distance whether that's the problem. If you're worried about the cost, you could also ask a scrap dealer for a used relay. Sometimes you're lucky and it's in good condition, but of course there's no guarantee. At least with a new part in the workshop, you can be sure that it will work and that the work will be done professionally. But of course, that costs money. I hope your bike is up and running again soon. If you have any more questions, just let me know.

Thank you very much for the advice! It's true, sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and pay the repair costs, especially when it comes to safety. I'll take your ravens into consideration with my garage and see if a used relay could be an option. It would of course be nice if I could save a bit of money. Thanks again for the help. I'll get in touch with the garage and hopefully have a working Benz again soon. See you then, ciao!

Hello, I also had a similar problem with my 2013 GLK Class Diesel. I'm not a car professional, but I do have a bit of experience. When I went to my garage, the guys took a close look at my car. It turned out that the relay was actually faulty. The repair cost me a hefty 375 euros, which was of course a blow at first. But hey, since then everything has been running like clockwork again! Could you perhaps give a bit more detail about your car and the exact fault? I'm sure I could help you even better with a little more information.
