Problems with the tire pressure monitoring system on a Peugeot 208 Diesel, model year 2018: experiences and solutions

Tire pressure to low

Hey guys, I'm having a bit of trouble with my Peugeot 208 Diesel, built in 2018. The car is constantly showing low tire pressure. I suspect it could be a fault with the tire pressure monitoring system. Have any of you had similar experiences and can give me tips on how you solved the problem in the workshop? Any help is welcome!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2016 Peugeot 205 diesel. To be honest, I know very little about cars. So I went to my regular garage and asked them to have a look at it. It turned out that the antenna tire pressure monitoring system was defective. The repair cost me 255 euros, but it was necessary to solve the problem. Can you perhaps give me more information about your car (mileage, service history, etc.), then I could help you more precisely.

Hello and thank you for your reply! My Peugeot currently has 48644 kilometers on the clock and the last inspection was recently. I'll pass on your suggestion to my garage, maybe they can check it properly there too. I just hope that it doesn't cost too much money.

Hey, no problem, always happy to help! Your car still seems to be in good condition. As far as the financial aspect is concerned - in my case it was a larger amount, but it was also important to solve the problem. On the other hand, you can never be sure, maybe it's just a small mistake that won't cost you much. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it's nothing serious and that the price remains reasonable. Best regards!
