Hey, thanks for the quick reply. Now that you mention it, the radio isn't working properly either, even though I haven't changed the settings. Wouldn't that have been checked as part of the last service? That was at 138971 km. I haven't made any other changes or repairs. The whole thing is really stupid!

Hi, so if the radio is also spinning, then it could be that the entire navigation screen has now given up the ghost. Maybe the radio is also affected, because it is usually all connected to each other through these computer boxes underneath. In my garage, they did a lot of tests, including a kind of "software update", but little was found the first time. Then came the plug thing, and now everything is working again. I don't know how I could manage without the sat nav! Perhaps you could have this checked in your car too? Update the software and possibly check the plug connections. As I said, the costs were manageable for me. Maybe you're lucky and it's just as easy to fix as it was for me. I would advise you to keep a cool head and take it to the workshop!

That makes sense, thanks for the tip. I had already considered general troubleshooting followed by a repair. That sounds like it could actually fix the problem. I'll probably make an appointment at the garage and have the plug thing checked and maybe a software update too. Keep your fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly and the costs stay within reasonable limits. Thanks again for your help!

Hi! I am getting a 00A468 fault code coming up on my e60. Has anyone had this issue before? I don't seem to be having any symptoms which is a bit odd. Thanks in advance!

Hi Bilalry, the fault code 00A468 is usually related to the Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS) in BMWs. It's possible that the sensor is malfunctioning or there's a communication issue between the sensor and the car's computer. I would suggest starting with the easiest check: disconnect the battery, wait for a few minutes, then reconnect it. This can sometimes reset the sensor and clear the fault code. If the code persists, it might be worth having a mechanic inspect the IBS and its wiring. Please let us know how you get on with this.

Hey, I had a similar problem with my 2008 BMW 5 series. Despite my limited car experience, I was able to get it fixed at my garage. The problem was that the plug wasn't locking properly. Had this fixed for 210 euros. However, without more information about your vehicle, it's difficult for me to give more specific advice. Can you please let me know if other functions of your BMW are working properly? Or have you made any recent modifications or repairs? Please tell me more so I can help you better.
