Problems with the heating function of the windows in the Peugeot 807 - experience and solutions wanted

Heated windows without function

|

Fault stored

Hey guys, I have a small problem with my Peugeot 807 (built in 2003, gasoline engine). The window heating function no longer works and an error is stored. I suspect that this is due to a limited function of the windshield heating. Have any of you had similar experiences and can give me tips on how to solve the problem? I am particularly interested in how you solved the problem in the workshop and what your experiences were. Many thanks in advance!

Hello, I had a similar problem with my Peugeot 807 (built in 2001, diesel) some time ago. I have to say that I have a bit of experience with cars, but I'm not an expert or a mechanic. I took my car to the garage. They couldn't find anything at first. So I went back home and did some research myself. Then I found out that the heating wires were faulty. It cost 585 euros to repair the whole thing. Can you tell me a bit more about your car? Maybe that could help me to help you better. What trim levels do you have and did you ever do anything special before this problem occurred?

Hey, thanks for the answer. As for my equipment, I can say that I have the normal version, nothing special. And no, I didn't actually do anything special before the problem occurred. Just the usual, you know. My last inspection was at 154,254 KM, after which the problem occurred. Thanks for the help anyway!

Hello again! I'm glad I was able to help you in some way. That's funny, I noticed the same thing after the inspection. Maybe there's a connection, who knows? Another thing that just occurred to me is that the fuses for the rear window heating in my Peugeot 807 were also blown. I'm not sure if this is the case with your model, but maybe it would be an idea to check the fuses. Have you been able to solve the problem in the meantime? Or are you still driving around with cold windows? Good luck with your troubleshooting!

Hey, really good advice, I'll check the fuses. Unfortunately I haven't been able to solve the problem yet and I still have cold windows, but I'm confident I'll find a solution soon. Thanks again for your help and good advice, I really appreciate it!
