Hey, thanks for your answer! Well, my Peugeot has now clocked up 79458 kilometers and the last service was only recently carried out. However, the problem started before that. I don't know exactly when it started as I don't use the hands-free system that often. But in any case, it's super annoying. Could the repair be cheaper if you change the microphone yourself?

The mileage is pretty good for the 1007 built in 2005. Regarding the microphone, even on my 208 it wasn't exactly easy to replace. The microphone is hidden quite deep in the dashboard and the whole thing has to be taken apart. If you can do it yourself, you could save a bit of money. But you really have to know what you're doing. If you do something wrong, it could cost even more. If you're not an absolute car professional, I'd really advise you to go to a garage, even if it hurts your wallet. But that's just my opinion, maybe someone else here has a better idea. Good luck in any case!

Hey, thanks for your detailed reply and your honest advice. Sure, who wants to do more damage. I'm no slouch when it comes to DIY, but I'm definitely not a car professional. I think I'll have it checked at the garage and hope it won't be too expensive. Thanks again for your help, I really appreciate it!

Hello, can I refill the FAP additive in the Peugeot 3008 HDI year 2017 myself? Lg Rupert
Hi Rupert, refilling the FAP (Diesel Particulate Filter) additive on your own is possible, but it's not a simple task and requires some technical knowledge. You'll also need to reset the additive counter using diagnostic software after the refill. If you're not comfortable with this, I'd recommend having this done by a professional mechanic to avoid any potential issues. If you decide to proceed, please ensure you're using the correct additive for your vehicle. Let us know how it goes or if you have any other questions.

Hello, the Elois additive is very critical and must match the VIN exactly, there are different ones, they must not be mixed. This additive is apparently only available for Citroen and Peugeot and those where these engines are installed (Ford), unfortunately the fun costs about €200, Lg

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2003 Peugeot 208. I don't know much about cars, but I've done a thing or two. At my garage they found that the microphone was faulty. It cost me 255 euros to fix the problem. I know that's not exactly cheap money, but it solved the problem. Could you give me more details about your car? Because the more information I have, the better I can help you.
