Problems with the glow control unit despite replacement

Hello everyone, I have a problem with my BMW 5. The engine takes longer to start from cold. I had the error code 004203 for the glow control unit and then installed a new glow control unit. Unfortunately, the error code is now appearing again. Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this or what I should check next? Many thanks in advance for your help!
