Hey, thanks for your quick reply. My Peugeot already has 199687 KM on the clock. I have to admit that I haven't changed the gearbox oil yet, as the car is still fairly new. I will follow your advice and have the car checked at the garage. Then I can have the gearbox oil changed at the same time. Maybe that's the solution. You've really helped me, thank you!

But of course, that's what we all do here, share information and experiences! Yes, that's the right thing to do. Sometimes we worry too much and it really is as simple as changing the oil. And even though your car is fairly new, you should consider that the transmission oil might be ready for a change due to the high mileage of your car. Talk to your garage to see if that would make sense. Keep us posted here, it would be really good to know what the problem was in the end. And you're welcome, always welcome! Good luck and hopefully your Peugeot will soon be back in top condition!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2019 Peugeot 308, a different model of the same brand. I have limited experience with cars, but I tried to learn and understand as much as possible. In the end, I contacted my garage as the problem persisted. They found that the wiring harness was faulty and replaced it. This cost me about 180 euros. Could you please give some more information about your car? For example, how many kilometers have you driven it and how often have you changed your gearbox oil? This could help me to give you more details and help you further. See what your garage can tell you. Good luck to you!
