Problems with the fan and solar sensor of the Peugeot 4007 Diesel, model year 2007: experiences and solutions

Hi guys, I have a strange problem with my 2007 Peugeot 4007 Diesel, the fan is not working properly, the cooling/heating is inadequate and a warning light is showing in the speedometer. I think the solar sensor might be faulty, have you had similar experiences? How did you solve the problem in the workshop and what was your experience? I am grateful for any tips and advice.

Hello, I have had a similar problem with my 2009 Peugeot 407 Diesel. I have average experience with cars. The problem I had was actually with the wiring harness, which was defective. I had it repaired at my regular garage. The damage cost me about 155 euros. It was pretty annoying, but everything worked great again afterwards. Can you give us more information about the vehicle? Have you noticed if any other functions are faulty or if there have been any other problems recently? That might help diagnose your problem better. Hope this helps you!

Hey, thanks for your reply. My car has already run 115122 km, but apart from the fan problem, nothing else seems to be broken. Nothing special was mentioned at the last service. A few skeletons in the cupboard, yes, but that's all I'll reveal ;) I'll keep your advice about the wiring harness in mind and maybe visit another garage. Thanks again!
