Problems with the audio system and navigation system in the Toyota Prius Hybrid 2013 - advice and experience wanted

Navigationssystem is not working

|

No sound of the Audiosystem

Hey guys, I have a problem with my Toyota Prius Hybrid from 2013. Recently, the audio system has stopped making a sound and the navigation system is also completely on strike. I suspect that the function of the audio system is limited. Do any of you have experience with such problems and could give me a few tips? How did you get it fixed at the garage and what were your experiences? I would be grateful for any tips!

Hi. I had a similar problem with my 2015 Toyota Corolla, not a car professional but have a little experience with cars. I had a fault in my bass speaker, completely faulty. I then went to my trusted garage and they quickly found the fault and replaced the speaker. It cost me about 280 euros. Can you give me more details about your car so that I can perhaps help you in more detail? For example, it would be important to know which functions of your audio and navigation system are restricted. Are there any error messages or similar?

Hey, thanks for the answer. My Prius already has 83626 KM on the clock. There was actually no error message, but the music system just doesn't make any sound and the navigation doesn't work. Everything else seems to be running normally. It's been a while since my last service, so maybe I should have it checked. Do you think there could be a simple solution? Maybe a fuse or something?

Hey, you're welcome! Your assumption could actually be correct. It could actually be a problem with a fuse if neither the audio system nor the navigation system is working. Of course, the safest solution would be to take it to the garage and have a professional look at it. But I can give you a tip if you want to try it yourself first. Your Toyota manual should tell you where to find the fuse boxes. You then have to look for the fuse for the audio system and the navigation system and check it. I once had a short circuit in mine and only had to replace the fuse. It worked again straight away! If the fuses are OK, another visit to the workshop may well be necessary. But yes, have your car checked, it's been a while since the last service. I hope I've been able to help you and that you get the problem under control soon.

Hi, thanks for your advice. I will definitely look through the manual and see if I can find the fuses for the audio system and the navigation system. Not that I'm a tech genius, but it's worth a try, right? And of course, a service for my Prius certainly couldn't hurt. I guess I shouldn't put it off any longer. Thanks again for your help, it's really helped. I'll let you know when the problem is fixed.
