Problems with Parking Distance Control and Kanbus Cables on BMW 5

Hi all, I have a problem with my BMW 5. The park distance control is not working and I have a question about how to splice the kanbus cables. I accidentally broke some cables and spliced them together by twisting the cable and installing a clamp splice. Now I get a PDC function warning on the display, but not a sound from the PDC warning system. Does anyone have any tips or advice on how I can solve this problem?
