Problems with parking aid and electrical malfunctions in the 2011 Toyota Crown

Park distance control without function

Fault stored

Warning light in the speedometer of the vehicle

General electric malfunction

Hey guys, I have a problem with my 2011 Toyota Crown petrol car. The parking aid no longer works and there are general electrical malfunctions. A warning light comes on in the speedometer and a fault has been stored. I suspect that the functional limitation of the parking aid could be responsible for this. Has anyone had similar experiences and can give me tips on how to solve the problem? How did you get this solved in the workshop? I would appreciate your help.

Hi, your post reminds me of a similar problem with my 2009 Toyota Avensis diesel, I just have some experience in car repairs. I had a similar problem with my Avensis where the parking aid was not working. I took it to the garage and ended up having to replace the parking aid control unit. That cost me 355.0 euros at the time. So the control unit could also be faulty in your case. Are you sure that all the fuses are intact? Has your car had an accident or collision recently that could have damaged the sensors? It would also be helpful to know if there are any other symptoms that you have observed. Some additional information about your vehicle could really help us here.

Hello, thank you for your advice. No, there has been no accident or collision that could have damaged the sensors. All the fuses seem to be in order. I have not noticed any other symptoms so far. My car now has about 67227 km on the odometer, and at the last service they didn't find anything that could indicate the current problem. I will probably have the control unit checked. It can be quite expensive, but what can you do, right? The important thing is that the thing runs again. Thanks again!

Hey, no problem, that's what we're here for! It's definitely a good idea to have the ECU checked if there are no obvious signs of damage to the sensors and the fuses are all OK. You may also be lucky and it's just a minor fault that they can fix easily, I hope so for your sake. Sometimes it could just be that a plug is in the wrong place or loose. But in any case, take it to the workshop and have it checked. Keep your fingers crossed that you get out of it cheaply! If you have any questions, just get in touch. Stay safe and take good care of your box!

Hey, thanks for the encouraging words! I'm also hoping that it's just a minor issue. That reassures me a little. I'll keep you posted when I know more. Well then, I'll see how things go in the workshop and take good care of my bike. See you next time and drive safely!
