Thanks for the feedback. I did the last inspection at 129094 km. My Megane is a GT with the 1.2L TCe engine - but as far as I know the parts should be similar. I hope it's just a cable problem... I'll go to the mechanic tomorrow and have it checked. Many thanks for the tip! It has helped me a lot.

No problem, you're welcome! Fortunately, these problems seem to be quite common (yet specific enough that many garages are familiar with them). With my Renault Clio it was also a cable problem. As soon as they replaced the cable, everything was fine again. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it will be just as easy with your Megane! I know how nerve-wracking something like this can be. But with a bit of luck, it's only a small problem that can be fixed quickly and easily. Let me know how it goes! All the best!

Thank you for your words, that actually reassures me a little. I also hope it's just the cable. I'll definitely let you know what comes out. Thanks again for your help and words of encouragement! It has definitely helped. I'm curious to see what the mechanic will say. See you then, wish you all the best too!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2016 Renault Clio. I only have some experience with cars, but I can tell you that I had to go to the garage to get it fixed. They found that the cable on the pump/control unit was faulty. I had to pay 225 euros for it, which was no mean feat, but what can you do. It's best to go to the garage as soon as possible to make sure there's nothing serious behind the problem. Do you happen to know the exact engine type or equipment of your car? Then I might be able to give you even better tips. Good luck!
