Problems with Opel CrosslandX: Check engine light and oil light on

Oil light on

Check engine light on

I have an Opel CrosslandX and I am experiencing a few problems. First, the check engine light is on and the oil light is also on. In addition, when I start the engine, a message appears on the display that there is a battery charging failure and that I should stop the engine. Has anyone else experienced these problems and if so, what can I do to resolve them?

The issue you're experiencing could be due to a faulty alternator or a dying battery. Start by checking the battery's condition. If it's old or not holding charge, you might need to replace it. If the battery is fine, then the alternator might be the problem. It's also important to check the serpentine belt that drives the alternator. If it's loose or worn out, it could cause charging issues. Please update us on your progress. Do you have any other questions?
