Problems with navigation system and audio system in Opel Agila - tips and experiences wanted
(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
The conversation centers around issues with the navigation and audio systems in a 2013 Opel Agila. The initial suspicion is that the radio antenna might be faulty. A similar problem in a 2015 Opel Meriva was resolved by replacing the telecom control unit, suggesting this could be a potential cause. The recommended solution is to have the telecom control unit checked and possibly replaced, with an expectation of potentially high repair costs.

Hi, thanks for your feedback. My Opel Agila was built in 2013 and now has almost exactly 194776 kilometers on the clock. So it has already experienced something. During the last inspection, the mechanic didn't say anything special about the audio system or the navigation system, so that came as a real surprise to me. I will have the telecommunications control unit checked and hope that it won't be too expensive. Thanks for the tip! Best regards!

Hi, no problem, always welcome! Judging by your mileage, it is indeed possible that the telecom control unit is slowly giving up the ghost. It's a shame that the mechanic didn't notice this during the last inspection, but sometimes problems like this only occur later. A good garage should be able to fix the problem without any problems. However, you should prepare yourself emotionally for a slightly higher bill. In my case, as I said, it was around 765 euros, but the costs can of course vary depending on the garage. I'll keep my fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly! Feel free to get in touch again if you have any further questions. Best regards!

Hey, I had a similar problem with my 2015 Opel Meriva. My knowledge of cars is rather limited, but I have a bit of experience in dealing with such problems. In my case, it was the telecom control unit that gave up the ghost. The repair at my regular garage cost exactly 765.0 euros. They removed the faulty device, fitted a new one and reprogrammed everything. Without precise details about your car, I can of course only guess whether you have the same problem. Please post precise information about your car so that I can help you more specifically. Best regards!
