Hey, thanks for the quick reply! My last inspection was at 105316 km and nothing conspicuous was found. How often do I drive? Well, I mainly use my car for work, so about five times a week. The battery itself is about the same age as the car, so around six years. Thanks again for your help! Greetings

Hi, thanks for the additional information! Given the age of the battery, it could well be that it is now giving up the ghost. Especially if you drive rather short distances to work, the battery may not be fully charged. This would also explain the flickering of the lights. I would recommend that you have the battery checked - and probably replaced straight away. As with my 4 Series, the auxiliary battery was also replaced at the same time. Of course, I can't guarantee that it's the same for you, but it sounds very similar. And as you know, prevention is better than cure. Good luck with your troubleshooting! Greetings

Hey, that sounds plausible, thank you very much for your detailed answer! I do indeed drive short distances frequently. I'll follow your advice and have the battery checked. It's probably better to replace it straight away. It would be great if I could get the problem under control. Thanks again for your help and advice, it has helped me a lot! Greetings

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2013 BMW 4 Series. I would describe myself as someone with some car knowledge. My garage found the fault relatively quickly and it turned out that the battery was faulty. I paid 290 euros to fix the problem. It would be helpful if you could tell me a bit more about your vehicle, e.g. how old the current battery is, how often you drive it, etc. Maybe then I can help you more precisely. Greetings
