The problem might be related to the air conditioning system, potentially involving a faulty air conditioning control unit. Hey, thanks for your reply and your interest. So my GT86 is as I said a 2013 model and already has 289526KM on the clock. My last inspection was about a year ago, but there was no sign of any problems with the air conditioning. Maybe I should have that checked. If it's the A/C control unit, that sounds pretty expensive though... 880 euros is no mean feat. But well, if it has to be done, then it has to be done. Thank you, that definitely helps me.

Sure, no problem! My Supra back then had about the same mileage as your GT86 now. Of course, it's always annoying when we run into unexpected expenses, especially when it's almost 900 euros! But I can tell you that once the air conditioning control unit has been replaced, the air conditioning is running like clockwork again. To save costs, you could also buy the part second-hand and have it fitted in an independent workshop. Or, if you dare, try it yourself; there are good instructions online. But only if you feel comfortable enough with such a repair. Of course, it would be a shame if you end up breaking more than you wanted to repair. I hope you find a good solution to your problem and can ride comfortably again soon! Good luck with that!

Hey, really cool of you to take the time to advise me. Your suggestions sound good and I'll definitely have a look to see if I can get the part used and maybe even install it myself. I'll have a look online. And if that doesn't work or it's too tricky for me, I'll definitely go to the workshop. The main thing is that the problem is fixed and I'm not left without heating in the middle of winter. Thanks again for your help! This is a really great forum here!

Hi, I once had a similar problem with my Toyota Supra, year 2011 - so very similar model to yours. I would describe myself as someone who only knows a little bit about cars, so I went to the garage when this problem occurred. I had a faulty air conditioning control unit. It cost me 880 euros to get it fixed at the garage. But given my limited knowledge, I would suggest that you share your specific vehicle information. With those details, people here can give more specific help and advice. Hope that helps!
