Hello everyone, I have a strange problem with my Renault Wind petrol engine from 2013. The gearshift is totally crazy and there is a terrible grinding noise when changing gear. In addition, a warning light comes on in the speedometer. Has anyone ever had anything like this and could it be that the gearbox oil temperature sensor has gone? I would be really pleased if anyone had any tips for me or could tell me about their workshop experience. How did you solve this problem? Thanks in advance!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2011 Renault Clio. I'm certainly not a car mechanic (I'm of average experience), but I can trust my garage. My car had a faulty transmission control unit, which caused very similar symptoms to yours. It cost me 1000 euros to repair this part. But before I can say anything definitive, it would be good to know whether your car is manual or automatic and how many kilometers you have driven? Any detail could be useful to help you better. So the transmission control unit could really be the cause. Well, it looks like the little one could do with a trip to the garage again. Repairs can be a real money pit, can't they?
