Problems with frozen spray nozzles on the 2012 Toyota GT86

Spray nozzles frozen

Hey guys, I'm having problems with my 2012 Toyota GT86, it's not driving as well as usual. As far as I can see, the spray nozzles are frozen. Could this be due to a defect in the nozzle heater? Has anyone had any experience with this and can tell me how their garage solved the problem? Any tips or experience reports would be super helpful! Thanks in advance!

Hey, I had a similar problem with my 2010 Toyota Corolla. I'm not a car mechanic, but I know a bit about cars. I went to my garage because the car wasn't running well. It turned out that the cable connection was faulty. Fortunately, I was able to get it repaired for 95.0 euros. Maybe you have a similar problem? What is the exact condition of your car? Are there any other symptoms you've noticed? The more information I have, the better I might be able to help you. Best regards!

Hey, thanks for your quick reply. Well, I haven't noticed any other problems so far, really just the thing with the nozzles, which somehow keep freezing up. Sure that can happen in winter, but it's happened so often now that I assume there's more to it than that. My Toyota has actually always been super reliable, with a mileage of 53570 KM you wouldn't expect any major problems. I've also always had it serviced regularly. Maybe I just need to have a specialist look at it. Greetings back!

Hey, I also had problems with the spray nozzles in my 2012 GT86. However, it wasn't the nozzle heater in my case, they were just clogged. Simple thing, I had them cleaned by the garage and it only cost 50 euros. Simple freezing can also be caused by the winter. Have you ever tried defrosting them? Maybe that will help and save you a trip to the garage. If that doesn't work, it could of course also be an electrical problem; I once had a problem where the fuse blew. That cost me a bit more, around 80 euros, but after that everything was back to normal. I hope this helps you. Let me know if you have any more questions. Best regards!

Hey, thanks for your help! I hadn't even thought that the nozzles could just be blocked. I'll try de-icing and cleaning them. Maybe that's the solution. And if not, then the fuse also sounds pretty plausible. I will definitely go to the workshop and have it checked. Thanks again for the tips and the cost estimates, that really helps me. I'll let you know if I have any more questions. Best regards!
